Adult Dog Exams and Vaccinations

Adult dogs need booster vaccinations. When they are 1 year of age they receive the annual vaccine (parvo, distemper, hepatitis and adenovirus), rabies vaccine and leptospirosis virus vaccine. The rabies vaccine can be considered a three year vaccine. After approx. 3 years of age the annual vaccine may be given every other year. Dogs that go to the groomers and dogs that are boarding need the kennel cough vaccination. Dogs that may be exposed to rattlesnake bites receive their booster vaccination either every 6 months or annually.
